Post GEN6 bash 5 help
Hi,

I got an Orca v0.3, the gen6 board is a bash 5, very different than the bash 4.

I don't find any instruction about bed cabling, here is a picture :

https://docs.google.com/open?id=0ByX8M8WM5C0KM2Q5ZWU2ZTAtZGM3MS00NzExLThiMDctZDk4OWMzNzU4YTRh

I think that the bottom side left green connector is for the bed power and the big green bottom connector is for linking the bed (and a thermistor ?)

I will appreciate any help.

Klep.

Look at the Orca 0.4 pictures, i think there you can see the new gen 6, at least a little bit.

No problem, my bed is now cabling on it own power supply and the two fans are connected directly on the Gen6 power supply. Bed is leveling, and yet i try to understand how to print something Else than Pla jam.

Camiel create a new directory for Gen6 deluxe firmware, Empty for the moment but it's smell good...

Did you figure out how the new gen6 electronics need to be wired up? I worked out a few things

* top molex (with the 4pin connector underneath) is for the electronics and stepper motors. The board only powers up when this is connected
* The smaller (70w) supply should be used for the board power

I'm confused by the heated bed connection though. There are 4 pins on the molex which I assume means you can connect a thermistor to the heated bed. I don't know if the orca0.3 has anywhere to mount this though. If I wire a thermistor to the 4 pin connector, will it be possible to mount it to the heated bed?

Also, are the small glass components thermistors or temp sensitive resistors? If they're thermistors i'll need to figure out which way round they go.

I also can't find instructions - i think the wiring scheme its like this

the heatbed ntc(termistor) is glued with K-Tape on the downside of HB. I can read the Temp with G-Code Command M302 (Marlin 0.9.10 B from MP 2_Marlin-0-9-10B_UNOFFICAL/) but no heating up with setting M140 S60 or so ... mmm more debugging needed i think....
..... with the new Firmware (Marlin 1.0 RC) the Heatbed is working. The Fan-Connector seems to be only for a "alwas on" fan - no control form software (in pins.h it "fan" is set to -1) .....

Also Like some info on the GEN6 (v5).
1. Connecting of print bed (CON9, 4 connections only 2 wires?)
2. Wiring of fans (one to CON15, other?)

Thx

can anybody verify this ??

This looks right in my opinion, of course I could be wrong. As far as i know, there isn't any documentation yet.

You could stick the thermistor to the bed somewhere in the middle, with silcoset if you have any.

I presume the orca 0.4 has a different thermistor, and a tapped mounting hole.

I think the wirings correct as well but I haven't been able to get power to the bed. The two pins marked NTC above have 5v across them and the other two don't and the direction doesnt matter. Based on some other threads, we need to modify pins.h and the only way to work that out is to trace the tracks on the pcb back to the processor (or Camiel could come out of his hole and support his closed source electronics...)
