 Beta 1 for Marlin 1.0.0
Hi folks
Has anyone managed already to to install marlin v1.0.0 on gen6 ?
A lot of the settings and variables look completely different. So in case you have it working, would be great when you could share it.
I tried it myself, but after uploading it does not look good with "driving" over the printbed.
Many thanks

Re: Beta 1 for Marlin 1.0.0
I got it to work fine on my Prusa. The main items to look at are: X, y, z, e steps. End stops Thermistor / bed setup. Most of the rest you will not need to touch until you want to fine tune it. Here is my config http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2957826/Configuration.h for my Prusa. Cheers Geoff

Re: Beta 1 for Marlin 1.0.0
Many thanks Geoff,
x, y, and e seems to work as expected... but since I uploaded marlin v.1 Z-axis does not move at all.
It's most likely a software issue, cause when I swap the connector z motor is working.
cheers

Re: Beta 1 for Marlin 1.0.0
Have you setup the end stops correctly? If the minimum es is not set correctly the carriage won't move down at all.

Re: Beta 1 for Marlin 1.0.0
Yes, the endstops where working correct. I uploaded again 0.9.10B ant there all the homing was working perfect.
I have now downloaded v1.0.0.beta1-105 from github and will try again as there where some fixes on z-axis recently.
Will update soon

Excellent, have fun. Quote: also i have to get rid of the waiting time before printing starts. If you mean the time it waits until temperatures stabilise and you are using Slic3r then setting the temp to zero in Slic3r does not delay. I set my temps using pronterface and once it is at the right temp run the slic3r gcode that has been generated with temp set to zero. Geoff

Re: Beta 1 for Marlin 1.0.0
The best way would be to get the source from GitHub, compile it to make sure it is ok for you copy of the Arduino software etc. Than manually take the fields from my config. over to the new version. I think Eric has changed a few of the config variable names etc.
