After poking around the Reprap and mendel-parts forums for a bit, I haven't been able to find any known-good Skeinforge settings that work well with the gen6 electronics + mendel-parts build. I found http://ultimachine.com/content/mendel-notes which seems to have a nice homing + cleaning routine, but wasn't running the extruder. While I continue to tweak all the settings myself, I'd love it if someone who has some known-good settings (*gentle nudge of mendel-parts folks nudge nudge*) that they'd be willing to share or a link to ones that already exist. Thanks!

I have the same problem. Where can i find example settings to start with, for my reprap-orca with gen6(marlin), using pronterface ? who can help me ?

My advice is to read the threads on this forum (some by me, some by other's) about Skeinforge settings, and learn how it all hangs together...

You will never achieve nice prints if you don't understand how the various parameters effect the print.

Or you go to the irc-channel #reprap and ask kliment there is a precompiled version of printrun(pronterface) with settings. I printed a very good testcube with the 1.75/0.35 settings.

I would love to see your .35mm skeinforge settings. Mine are really close to being where they need to be but I don't know where else I need to tweak things.

I use sfact but i could post my settings here for 1.75/0.35:

Carve:

Layer Height= Extrusion Thickness (mm): 0.3
Extrusion Width (mm): 0.5


Dimension:

Filament Diameter (mm): 1.75

Speed:

Main Feed Rate (mm/s): 60
Main flow Rate (scaler): 1.0

Perimeter Feed Rate (mm/s): 30
Perimeter Flow Rate (scaler): 1.9

Travel Feed Rate (mm/s): 130


Thats the only settings i changed, the rest is standart. Of course you has to calibrate first x,y,z and e steps in the firmware.
