Post Order status?
Hi,

I placed 2 orders, one on the 19th and one on the 20th. The status for both says "processing" still. They are order 100000134 & 100000109

Will this ship soon? If there is something back-ordered (gen6 electronics?) I am willing to take a partial shipment, since I paid shipping for each order.

Waiting for bearings and smooth rods is preventing me from assembling my Mendel's mechanics.

I just recieved a reply from MendelParts today 1st June and ordered on 26th May (and there's a weekend in between..)

" We hope to ship your order in the next 1-2 weeks. "

I hope this helps you work out your expected delivery time.

I wouldnt be expecting too much.
I placed two orders on 16/5 and 17/5 numbers 10000085, and 10000090 and have heard nothing to date except payment taken via paypal (over 3 weeks ago). The lack of information is very frustrating, and the updates on the blog are sadly few and far between.
If they gave a simple daily update of which order number they are up to on the backlist it would at least allow people to have a sense that things were being shipped and their money had not just disappeared.

Lots of people say that a daily update on which order number they are shipping would make all the difference... But I submit the following.. (I have nothing to do with orders or sales)

They don't deal with all orders in serial fashion... why should people who order two things from the shelf have to wait for complex orders, with back-orderd items.. (not all things shows as in stock, are). So.. there would be a constant stream of people complaining that newer order numbers are shipping ahead of them...

It is unfortunate that along with the low prices and complete inventory of mendelparts.com come the need for patience, but that has always been the case.

Yup agree totally with regard to the gaps in fulfilled order, but a bit more information would be useful.
Number of orders outstanding, number of orders received in the last n days, orders awaiting backordered items, oldest outstanding order would give a clear view that things do change day to day. This kind of information should be easily available from their order management system and could be made automated. If orders are awaiting parts, how about putting that fact on the order status with an estimated date rather than just 'processing'.
Not complaining, happy waiting for quality parts, just offering a suggestion in the meantime.

Dear Sranson and everybody else,

The amount of work that would go in supplying this information would delay the processing of orders even more. For all of you who would like to have more information concerning your order, please send a mail to info@mendel-parts.com. But please be mindful; every mail we have to answer delays us in processing orders. We try to answer mails as soon as possible, but we would appreciate it if you give us 2-3 working days before mailing reminders.

We have a standard handling time of 1-3 weeks for regular orders and 5-7 weeks for complete kits including plastics. Customers get updated once the payment has been received: immediately when paid via PayPal in our webshop; within a week when paid via bank transfer or direct PayPal transfer (not in the webshop). We also send an update including Track&Trace once we ship an order. Customers who ordered a complete kit including plastics get updated once we start printing their plastics and when the plastics have been printed successfully.
