I am using the reprap java sw to try to run a newly assembled gen6 mendel.
I can succesfully save gcode from stl files. when i load these and try to print however i get an error such as

error: AllSTLsToBuild.remove(): removing an item from a frozen list [919.718s/-1310300882985ms]

also moving the head manually e.g. with the 'xyz' controls doesn't seem to do anything...

i tried using jre 5 instead of jre 6, as well as setting the java environment variable as at

but no dice. any suggestions?

I suggest you forget reprap host and use repsnapper. Or one of the newer host that have recently popped up.

You mentioned some new hosts .... I'm also looking for some realy siple host - only to load a *.gcode file and print it.
