Post Filament calibration problem
Hi, I've recently tried calibrating the filament width on my printer (Mendel) from this calibration set http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5573 specifically the .5mm thin wall (using a .5mm nozzle.)

However, when I calibrate the filament width to be 0.6mm (as sfact expects it to be, it was printing at 0.9+) the perimeter lines and the loops do not join, leaving a gap all the way around (once built you can get a fingernail in-between and lever the perimeter away from the loops). And I can't find an option to move the loops closer to the perimeter in sfact. The only one I can see is Infill Overlap over perimeter. If I set this to 10 (as a scaler, 10x more than normal), it does a reasonable job as it extends the infill past the loops and touches the perimeter, but the loops are no closer to the perimeter.

I'm using printrun with sfact v42.4.1, with mostly default settings. (bar usual changes - filament diameter, feed speed etc).

Thanks for any help.

I assume you have done the correct calibration procedure for Sfact. i.e. `Clicking calibrate and entering in the actual size, then using the value it gives you.

Once I had calibrated mine I had a similar problem, setting "Infill Overlap over perimeter" to 5 fixed it for me.

Ok, thanks.

Yeah, that was what I did to calibrate, 'infill overlap' just didn't seem to fix the problem. I didn't know if there was a parameter I had missed. Haven't tried for a while, but i've got a load of time off coming up, so i'll have another play then.

Thanks for the quick relpy.

Hey, i've since set my infill overlap to 10 (scaler), and it prints fine. Thanks for your help.
