 acrylic sheets Hello Camiel
I was wondering if using acrylic sheets instead of aluminum will be better.
It's fairly strong, you can laser cut it (cheaper than water jet) and I think it’s a cheaper material then aluminum.
Have you given it a try?
I want to buy/build an orca v0.3 and I'll be happy to try testing it with acrylic myself.

Re: acrylic sheets I too would be interested in trying out Acrylic or perhaps maple hardwood. Can anyone point me in the direction of the dxf files for v0.30? I can only find the v0.20 3mm/4mm/6mm parts.

Re: acrylic sheets And here is some pics :  DSCF0219 by watsdesign, on Flickr  DSCF0232 by watsdesign, on Flickr I expect it to don't allow to print at the same high speed of the Alu version, but from a v2 that was laying around at least it's easier to build
