Post Tonokip firmware 4 Gen6?
I've heard about a Tonokip firmware for Gen6 but no "Official" release.

Can anyone tell me more?

Further confusing is what I hear is a cleaned up version of Tonokip.
Tesla893's Tonokip fork at this
point. It is more frequently updated than his version.

I've gotten Tesla's fork to work, but am seeing some issues with the heating. When using Tesla's fork, combined with a nichrome hotend and gen6, I was getting temps over 20% too high when heating up.

Today I've switched from nichrome to heated block, and will test Tesla's fw again somewhere this week. It sure did give less comms errors than 5D does :-)

I spent a few days on Tesla's fork. With a heater block and not really long slow lines, it manages heat just fine.. but.. there is a problem with the temperature reporting... something with the serial parsing.. I've confirmed that the managed temperature is rock steady, but the reporting is wierd...

That's the reason I haven't posted it yet however... it's being worked on.

Hi,
is there any news about this?
I mean now with the acceleration feature (caruKlip) I think would be great.

I intend to try it when I finish building this latest Mendelparts mendel...

But no reason why you could not... you just need to change the pins.h and configuration.h to match what the Gen6 uses...

I have managed to change pins and configuration to work but as you already said there is a problem mwith the temperature reading/control.
I get erratic (-13,17,23) readings and when turning on the heater the nozzle overheats (although set to 50c)
I have attached my firmware so anyone can test the benefits of the accelarion feature (I suggest turning off dimension in SF)

UPDATE ************
The Carukip Firmware evolved into Sprinter.. (Tonokip-Carukip-Klşmentkip>>>>Sprinter)
İt is available at https://github.com/kliment/Sprinter

It has many advantages over 5D.. Explanation on a seperate Post...

I have compiled this OK, but when I upload it to my GEN6 nothing happens. I.E. I push reset but get no start message or anything?

Is there something else I should do as well? I have set my baud rate.

Cheers
Geoff
