Post Firmware compiling problem
Hello.
I need a help.
I have GEN6 electronics and I need to change value of nr. of steps per mm because I have different construction of Z axis. I downloaded from mendel-parts.com arduino with Camiel's settings and firmware. Than I started arduino, opened firmware file in arduino, made changes in Z_STEPS_PER_MM value and then I pushed button Compile/Verify. Process was started but finished with error. Maybe I do something bad. This error is not in my change. I attached picture with print screen of this error.
Thank you in advance.

Could you check to be sure that Sanguino is selected under Tools > Board in the Arduino IDE.

Also..I'll mention it again here..

Arduino versions over 18 will not work with 5D... So if you are Sanginio selected... make sure you don't have the latest Arduino IDE installed.

I need help too. Have got the printer powered up. Installed the DTFI driver.
Have installed Arduino and copied Sanquino.
In tools have set Sanquino but I can't get to compile anywhere.
Complains of
core.a(main.cpp.o): In function `main':
C:\Program Files\arduino\arduino-0022\hardware\arduino\cores\arduino/main.cpp:7: undefined reference to `setup'
C:\Program Files\arduino\arduino-0022\hardware\arduino\cores\arduino/main.cpp:10: undefined reference to `loop'

Bootloader can see no sign of Sanquino, its all a little confusing to my brain guys:-)
Regards
F

Seems you do not have used the version of Camiel on his website, but a newer one.

Download the version of this site and try again :)

Yes I have it and now it compiles but I can't upload to the machine.
Have tried to hit the reset button just before dur to the timeout problem. Maybe its there. Now I have to something else SNAP I think to teach the Gen6 GCode.
Can't find this info on this site.
If anyone has any ideas please let me know.
Best

I have tried Arduino 18 and 22. IMHO there is no difference.
As far as I understand the bootloader is already installed so no need to worry about it, is this so?

I did manage to upload the Fivd_D compilation once but nothing see the printer even though the FT232R ia working as Com6.

Its a minefield and needs sorting IMHO.

My Mendel with Gen6 is working.
It must be made clear to everyone IMHO that the boostrapper is pre-loaded before you receive the Gen 6.

I used Arduino 18 and 22 and Both in the end work. Its simply a matter of holding your finger on the reset button and count as a variable. So hit send to board whilst holding the reset button now count, 1 and 2 etc.
mine was 6, then release the button and watch the debug light. It should flash as the file is uploaded.
Then hit reset again and all should work.
Best and good luck to all
