Bearing, printed with 1.75mm white ABS and 0.40mm nozzle on an orca 040 (converted to 042-043):
The bearing is printed with 0.28mm layer height (my production default these days), feel free to zoom in... and you will notice the insane quality)

This bearing runs really smooth btw, just imagine the possibilities..:

And well I had the Pink PLA, so I made some Z-height calibration print:

And I really like my Orca Bolts-boxes, (so I can shout at workshops grab the high yellow box, or low red box etc):

Orca Tools-box (v2) (I've made also videos and pictures while this beast was being printed, so expect more from this toolbox soon.. and ps, this was still not max size of orca 040)

First test prints with Orca 040 prototype
(bulldog is printed with white PLA 1.75mm filament from Ultimachine at 52mm/s and with 0,30 layers and a 0,40 nozzle, support came off really easily..)
PS: I've always found white PLA a bit hard to print (end-quality-wise), because for some reason you see every little detail with this white PLA, so the bulldog in white PLA was a good first test for 040 ;)
PS2: The bulldog is done without skeinforge's skin plugin, the skin plugin makes outer surfaces even more smooth, but all settings must be perfect to get good results, I just dont have time (yet) to get same constant quality with skin plugin as without it. But I hope to print the bulldog soon again, but this time with ABS and the skin plugin enabled and all settings properly...
PS3: Ive made alot of videos from the bulldog while its being printed, so you can see the fast speed and acceleration... videos speak more then words eh images ;)

There is still alot of improvement possible, imagine printing a bit slower and with finer layers and with a smaller nozzle.. and print the bulldog in ABS for example. Look below at the pictures from the cups (both printed on Orca 040), to see difference in PLA / ABS, ABS always looks much better.. however I do like the non-toxic and bio aspect of PLA, so prefer PLA. And yes the cups are watertight as you can see... ive been drinking out of them for few days, printtime of cup was 37mins and costprice is 0,20 EUR..

The statue in ABS (above is PLA) printed alot better the overhang etc, even with wrong skeinforge settings, but apparently I forgot to take those pictures with correct light settings, maybe another time..
